This workshop provides a practical and conceptually grounded understanding of research hypothesis development and statistical test selection. It covers types of hypotheses, justification of one- versus two-tailed tests, and appropriate alignment between hypotheses and statistical techniques. Participants will also learn how to avoid common analytical errors arising from software defaults and assess how test selection influences Type I and Type II errors, thereby supporting rigorous and transparent quantitative research.
